Originally performed at the Théàtre des Folies-Dramatiques, Paris on April 19th. 1877, under the title of "Les Cloches de Corneville",
then performed as "The Chimes of Normandy" at the Fifth Avenue Theatre, New York, on October 22nd. 1877.
Later presented briefly as "The Bells of Corneville" at the Victoria Theatre, New York, on April 21st., 1902.
