No. 12 - Duet - The Queen and Moonshine - "In the studio."
Lyrics by Aubrey Hopwood
[Queen:]
Though I have to stop at home,
I should love abroad to roam,
Where the soft Italian skies are blue and sweet,
[Moonshine:]
Though our climate may be duller,
I can get the local colour
With an organ and a monkey in the street.
[Queen (after pause):]
Oh, suppose that I should pine
For a castle on the Rhine,
Or a vineyard on the sunny south of France.
[Moonshine:]
Here's a plan that's cheap and quicker,
You can learn to draw their liquor,
Which is what I always do when I've a chance.
[Both:]
In the Studio, in the studio!
You can find a use for ev'rything you see.
If you want an imitation
Or a talented creation,
You can have it if you come to me!
[Queen:]
Well, another treat would be
Just a fortnight by the sea,
In a little Brighton villa snug and trim.
[Moonshine:]
If you think you like the notion,
We can represent the ocean,
And our friends will think we're really "in the swim."
[Queen (after pause):]
Yes, I certainly confess,
You're an artist, more or less,
But I wish that I could find a harder task,
[Moonshine:]
So complete my education,
I'm a mine of information,
And I'll answer any question that you ask.
[Both:]
In the Studio, in the studio!
You can find a use for ev'rything you see.
If you want an imitation
Or a talented creation,
You can have it if you come to me!
