• No. 3 - Duet - Pompadour and Mariette - "I feel so excited, I won't deny, though I hardly know why!  I'm just in the mood, so I must declare, for a love affair! ..."
• No. 4 - Duet - Pompadour and René - "Grant this favour!  In that arbour you heart will grow braver!  There your kisses you'll not be denying, for no curious eyes..."
• No. 5 - Duet - Calicot and Mariette - "Though I'd feel a trifle strange if I were King, I'd arranged to make a change to ev'ry thing! ... Fountains full of wine would run..."

• No. 9 - Sextet - Pompadour, Mariette, Madeleine and maids - "Tell me what your eyes are made for? ... Just to see with, I suppose! ... Then they're useless..."
• No. 10 - Serenade - René and Soldiers - "Madame Pompadour, fairest flow'r!  Star divine!  All love's pangs I endure till the hour when I shall make you mine! ..."
• No. 11 - Duet - Pompadour and Calicot - "Mine's a mad infatuation!  You've a fatal fascination!  There's a quite absurd attraction in your ev'ry word and action! ..."
• No. 11a - Reminiscence - Pompadour and René - "Madame Pompadour, fairest flow'r!  Star divine!  All love's pangs I endure till the hour..."
